We left Cloverdale and drove approximately 5.5 hours then arrived in Greenfield California. The RV park we had booked is called Yanks RV Resort. Yank RV Park is an upscale RV park with beautiful grounds, 30/50 amp electrical, concrete pads, swimming pool with spa, laundry facilities, fitness center, and 2 dog runs. One of the dogs runs has a dog washing station. Gussie got a much-needed bath!
We spent 5 day and 4 nights at this resort. The downtown area of Greenfield is small but does have a lot of restaurants to choose from.
Greenfield was once known as the broccoli capital of California and celebrated with an annual broccoli festival. We didn’t see any broccoli fields, but did see crops being harvested in the fields next to Yank’s resort. We saw hundreds of field workers brought in by busses. We didn’t recognize the crop due to the high fencing, but it smelled bad.
We were waiting for some important paperwork to arrive by mail at the RV office on our behalf and were very concerned about the timing of it. Due to the stress, we only left the resort to go into town a few times.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any pictures to share in this blog. The good news is, we did receive the parcel containing the important, much-needed documents the morning we had scheduled to leave Greenfield.
Time to hit the road, next stop Castaic Lake, California
