It’s August 13, 2021, after spending 5 weeks at Deer Park RV Resort, we’re finally ready to start our adventure.
Cascade Locks – Oregon

The first stop, Cascade Locks Oregon, is located on the Hood River and just 43 miles from Portland Oregon. We spent 4 nights at the KOA Portland Holiday RV Park. During our stay, we visited Multnomah Falls. Multnomah Falls is beautiful with its 2-drop falls, with a height of 620 feet. Multnomah Falls is the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest.

We also enjoyed the downtown area in Cascade Locks, Oregon where the Bridge of the Gods is located. The Bridge of the Gods is a steel truss cantilever bridge that spans the Columbia River between Cascade Locks, Oregon, and Washington State near North Bonneville. It’s is approximately 40 miles east of Portland, Oregon, and 4 miles upriver from Bonneville dam. The bridge took approx. 6 years to construct and opened in 1926. Today, it’s still a toll bridge and operated by the Port of Cascade Locks.
Time to hit the road, next stop Newport, Oregon.
